Need help with Family Rosary? Email us at [email protected]. We read every message.
In the app, most settings are in My Account & Families: open the Family Circle tab and tap the account button at the top.
Write to [email protected] about:
If it's about your account, email us from the address you signed up with. We'll never ask for your password, so please don't send it.
You sign in to Family Rosary with your email address and password, in the iPhone or Android app or in the web app. The same account works everywhere. New passwords need at least 10 characters.
If you've forgotten your password:
If nothing arrives, check your spam folder. While you're signed in, you can also change your password, or send yourself a reset email, in My Account & Families, under Password & Security.
After you sign up, we email you a link to confirm your address. Family invitations sent to your email address appear in the app once you've confirmed it.
There are two ways in:
Managers: requests to join appear on the Family Circle tab and in My Account & Families. They came from someone who used your family code, so only approve people you know. We also email you about new requests, and the phone apps can notify you; turn either off in My Account & Families, under Notifications. If the code has reached someone it shouldn't have, tap Make a new code on the Family Circle tab: the old code stops working straight away and everyone already in the family stays in it.
You can belong to more than one family and switch between them in My Account & Families.
Record in the Studio tab. Each person records each prayer once, and the app uses that recording every time the prayer comes round; for example, one Hail Mary covers every bead. You can also record for a family member without their own account, such as a young child or a grandparent, with their permission (for a child, as their parent or guardian or with that person's permission).
For a voice to lead a whole prayer on its own, it needs:
To see what someone still needs, open the Family Circle tab and tap their name. It shows how many prayers they've recorded for today's Rosary, all four sets, the Stations and the current novena, and Record these takes you through the missing ones one at a time.
How the voices take turns (by decade, a new voice for every prayer, a different voice on each Hail Mary bead, or one person leading) and call and response are set for the family in the Prayer Rotation Settings on the Family Circle tab.
If the app can't use the microphone, allow it for Family Rosary in your phone's or browser's settings. The app only uses the microphone while you're recording.
Recordings of your own voice, made on your own profile, are copied to every family you belong to, so you only record them once. Your account also keeps its own private copy of the newest recording of each prayer, so your recordings aren't lost if you leave a family or a family is deleted.
Recordings someone else makes for you stay in the family where they were made.
Simple mode opens the app on one large, calm screen for today's Rosary, with big Play, Back and Next buttons, large text and who is leading each prayer. It's made for grandparents and anyone who prefers fewer choices.
Turn it on in My Account & Families, with Simple mode (large buttons). It's set on each device separately. To leave it, tap Exit simple mode on the simple screen.
Reminders work in the iPhone and Android apps, not in the web app. In My Account & Families, under Prayer reminders, you can turn on:
Reminders are set on that phone only and send nothing to us. If one doesn't arrive, check that notifications are allowed for Family Rosary in your phone's settings (the app offers a button to open them) and that Do Not Disturb or Focus isn't holding it back.
In the app, open My Account & Families and tap Report a problem, under Privacy & Legal. Tell us what went wrong. Unless you untick it, the report also includes technical details (the app version, your device type and the app's recent steps, but no names, emails or recordings) that help us find the cause. Please don't include passwords or other private information. You can also email us.
You can delete your account in the app, in My Account & Families, under Account Actions, or by email if you can't use the app. You choose whether the recordings of your own voice are deleted too or stay with your family. See Delete your account for the steps, and for what's deleted and what stays with your family.
You can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, or object to how we use it. Most of this you can do in the app. For anything else, email [email protected]. See our Privacy Policy.
Please email [email protected] rather than support. Our security.txt has the details.
